I bought this quitar for my left handed grandson who was being taught to play on a right handed guitar and was very frustrated. Both he and his instructor are very pleased with the quality of this guitar. He is learning much faster and easier. Neither one are frustrated any longer.

You really cannot beat this deal - for a great acoustic guitar - with case, picks, strap, and instructional DVD included! For the average newbie or casual player looking to have something around the house to strum for the kids or pick up on a whim - this is it. Cannot believe how fast it arrived - NEXT DAY! And it was packed absolutely perfectly - secure and snug.

I cannot wait to give this to my husband for Christmas - we are expecting our first baby early next year, and he wanted something he could play for the baby and also let him inherit and learn on when he gets old enough!

i got this during fenders Christmas sale for $99.99, and it is a beautiful hardwood guitar. it comes with more than it said in the description as well; tuning pipes, 6 picks, a extra set of strings, and a strap. the strap is the only thing that is even slightly lower quality but is workable. extremely good guitar especially for the price i paid.

I am completely new to the guitar but I've played violin for 13 years so I picked this up really quick. After only a few hours I was already really enjoying the guitar. It is beautiful, looks great, and sounds great too, at least in my opinion. The other reviews are right though about the tuner. It is a blowpipe and it is not in tune. You can easily google "guitar tuner" and have a site play you the tone though. The extra picks are nice, I was really happy they were also different colors. The extra strings are a nice addition and the strap is generic but it came as well.

I got this guitar on amazon at the lowest price ever---$55.06. It is the best deal I've ever gotten in my life. If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would. Great guitar for a beginner.

Arrived in a couple of days -- much sooner than expected.

Got it for my wife as her first guitar. Neither of us knows much about guitars, although I've played in band, orchestra, and rock and roll bands since junior high (as percussionist). I'll pick and strum on a guitar for fun and to experiment, but I don't know fingerings or how to play.

That said, this guitar is very attractive and has a nice, warm tone. Chose this one as it fit my budget, and the apparent quality, namely, the guitar components such as the tuning gears and pegs similar to those on much higher end guitars, and the bridge. It also comes with steel strings (which I think are preferable), not nylon, and a package of replacement strings. Also comes with several picks.

The tuner is not as good as my timpani tuner. It is useable, if one has a good ear for pitch, but the tonal difference between it and a guitar make the tuner less than desirable. Better to tune against a piano... Read more

I bought this pack as a gift for a friend's child who has shown interest in playing the guitar. Of course, I needed to check it out before passing it along... Inside the gift box, you get a � size "classical" (nylon-string) acoustic, a slip cover, tuner and course book with 2 CDs (software and music) and a certificate. The learning materials look approachable (book and software, plus a certificate of accomplishment). Alfred has a solid reputation in the educational arena; I haven't dug in to the materials too deeply, so I will focus on the instrument and accessories for this review. The guitar itself is decent - hardly a prime example of old-world craftsmanship, but it sounds nice enough, and seems solidly built. A "gig bag" is included. Not very protective, but it'll keep the dust off. The tuner works ok, although you'll want to help your little student use it to tune the guitar and keep it in tune. This is a good starter package. It came with a tuner, gig bag, DVD, CD, and 3 picks as advertised. The bag is not padded but still good to have. The DVD is just average and I found free lessons that are better on Utube. The quality of the guitar for the money is good in terms of the sound and finish. My boy already put dents in a couple of places but better this guitar than his Little Martin.
